Welcome to my first run at the wonderful world of Blogging, or Web Logging, to be more specific!

Borrowed from Wikipedia: A Blog (a blend of the term Web Log) is a type of website or part of a website which is updated with new and relevant content on an ongoing basis. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Although not a must, but most good quality blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.

Many blogs provide commentary on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries; yet still others function more as online brand advertising of a particular individual or company. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.

My goal is to share resources, educational opportunities, experiences, thoughts, and insights into my world of restoration, reconstruction, rehabilitation, roofing, disaster planning & recovery, and mold & asbestos testing and abatement. I also hope to share information about the company I’ve had the priveledge of founding and leading, Blu SKY Restoration Contractors, since 2004.

Over the last 8 years, we have grown to 150 employees in ten offices across the United States. We have an amazing group of employees who have voted Blu SKY a Best Company to Work for every year since 2008, in addition to earning a customer satisfaction rating of 96% year in and year out, around the one compelling question: Would you recommend Blu SKY to Family, Friends, and Colleagues?

We’ve also been recognized for being one of the the fastest growing companies in Colorado and across the United States and our employees have helped me win the honor of the Business Journal’s Top 40 Business People Under 40 Years of Age, and the City of Centennial’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

But,  the best part of it all is giving back to our customers and giving back to our communities through our philanthropic work or through the Blu SKY Charitable Fund which was endowed in 2009. Whether it’s our annual Clays for Kids Sporting Clay Tournament, or a clothing drive for those left homeless by flood or fire, you’ll find or employees giving of themselves.

Again, welcome to my Blog, I have much more to share!
